Certified Association Executive (CAE) Monique Talbot will join the AARC as our new Vice President of Membership & Customer Service. Talbot comes to AARC from the American College of Radiology (ACR) in Reston, Virginia, where she has served as director of membership since 2016.
“It’s both an honor and a privilege to join the AARC family,” Talbot said. “I look forward with great enthusiasm to engaging with staff and members and helping to pave the way for the future growth of this tight-knit community of respiratory care professionals.”
Under her leadership, ACR has seen a steady rise in dues revenue over the past five years and a consistent retention rate of 91-92%. Providing vision and leadership to ACR’s membership services team, Talbot oversaw membership marketing, processing and data, customer service, a prestigious Fellows designation and residency programs, a radiology-focused Career Center and new business development. To help improve recognition of the value of membership, she also developed targeted Member Welcome Hubs, an annual tracking survey and micro-engagement opportunities for members.
“We look forward to welcoming Monique to the AARC team, as she will bring a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to supporting our membership goals,” said AARC Executive Director Dan Garrett, CAE. “Great things are happening here at the AARC, and we know Monique will be critical in helping the AARC develop needed benefits and resources for members and future members everywhere. It’s an exciting time.”
At AARC, Talbot will lead membership and customer service initiatives as well as ensure that both strategic membership and revenue goals are set and achieved. She will also reinvigorate our membership recruitment and retention efforts.
In her spare time, Talbot enjoys singing with local musicians, weekend trips to the mountains, and spending time with her family. Earning her journalism degree from Eastern Illinois University, Talbot has worked in the association field in both Chicago and Virginia for more than 30 years. She will work remotely and looks forward to visiting the AARC office frequently and engaging further with members at AARC conferences and special events.
