AARC Workforce Recovery Taskforce: Response to a Critical Need
2023–2024 AARC President Carl Hinkson tasked AARC members, COARC, and NBRC representatives to address ways to recruit for our profession. AARC Board of Directors brought forth the recommendation for developing relations with HOSA.
AARC attended the 2023 International HOSA Leadership Conference in Dallas, TX June 21–23. AARC purchased email blasts, booth space at the vendor hall, and lead two workshops at the conference.
We are now focused on developing a national campaign to connect respiratory therapists and HOSA.
AARC-HOSA Premier Partnership in 2024
Three-pronged approach: National, State, and Regional: The AARC Board of Directors approved HOSA sponsorship for 2024 at the premier level to promote respiratory heavily. We need your help to promote!
Our goal is for AARC State Affiliates and RTs to connect with HOSA affiliates and chapters across the U.S. by:
- State affiliates serve as primary local HOSA resource
- Coordinate representation at HOSA events — exhibit & workshop
- Visiting HOSA classrooms and sharing resources
- Hosting HOSA students on your campus for show and tell
- Assisting HOSA advisors
- Volunteer as mentor or competition judging
Competitions are the key. Support HOSA Advisors to make this a success. We need you!
