Pam Russell came to the AARC in February of 2018 after a nearly 20-year career running a successful printing and promotional products company. “I was a little burned out . . . so I decided to look for a new way to use my proven sales experience,” she said. “I saw the job posting for an exhibits coordinator for the AARC on LinkedIn and applied immediately.”
She ended up being the perfect fit for the position and says she has loved working with exhibitors and marketing executives to bring new and innovative equipment, experiences, technology, and education to the RTs who visit the Exhibit Hall at AARC events like the International Congress.
Now she plans to leverage that experience in her new role as director of corporate engagement for the AARC. In this new position, Russell will oversee the Association’s Corporate Partner Program. “I will be responsible for managing the collaborative projects with the AARC that result from these relationships,” said Russell.
Russell says she has learned a lot about the respiratory care profession during her time with the AARC, and she hopes to use those insights to inform her work with Corporate Partners. “This position will allow me to learn more about our partners and what they need and want from a partnership with the AARC,” she said. “I hope to take that knowledge and use it to build strong, loyal relationships and create synergies that can benefit our external stakeholders, the AARC, RTs and their patients.”
On the personal front, Pam Russell is a native Texan and proud single mom of a 25-year-old daughter who just graduated with her master’s degree from Texas A&M. When she’s not engaged in her work at the AARC, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.
The AARC congratulates her on her new role as director of corporate engagement.
