Think your letters to Congress don’t work? They do!

As Virtual Lobby Week gets underway as a prelude to Political Advocacy Contact Team (PACT) visits to Congress on March 18, we know they are making a difference.

Cheryl West, director of government affairs, explains that in today’s political environment, it is difficult to obtain a meeting with members of Congress. Your letters help pave the way for better access to these decision-makers and their legislative assistants who deal with health issues.

IMG_3296AARC staff members also participated in the process by talking about telehealth and sending their own letters on Tuesday morning. Back at her desk, AARC customer service rep, Annissa Buchanan, followed the steps and reached out to her U.S Representative and two Senators.

Keep those emails coming! It’s easy by using the AARC Capitol Connection email system.
