In this episode of Big Ideas Theater, Mary Martinasek, RRT, PhD, discusses the use of THC and the different respiratory illnesses that are caused by inhaling it. Mary focuses on lipoid pneumonia as a common ailment related back to vitamin E acetate, which is found in some e-cigarettes.

The United States has also seen more ailments from e-cigarettes than many other countries. Mary goes on to discuss how states and societies are advocating to put more restrictions on e-cigarette usage, along with discussing the continuing legalization of marijuana.
