Respiratory therapy students from Texas State University traveled to Guyana in Africa for a study abroad program. The students visited medical facilities, assisting and demonstrating their RT skills. Sharon Armstead, MBA, RRT, Texas State professor, hopes this trip and the students’ work will help instill the value of the respiratory profession for the University of Guyana. The story features a recent patient of Inkrott’s who had gone into cardiac arrest and needed to be transported for further care.
