Good Press spotlights AARC members mentioned in the news media at a local and national level. Here is the latest list of news makers:

Nadya Khoja’s RT program receives kudos for receiving CoARC’s Distinguished RRT Credentialing Success award in this article in the Atlanta, GA, Journal Constitution. One hundred percent of her students have passed the RRT exam over the past six years.

Kiera Barker talks about the rewards that come with being a respiratory therapist in this article on the WHSV-TV website out of Harrisonburg, VA.

Tammy Moser comments on the recovery of a young football player who suffered a heart attack in this article on ChiefsDigest.com. “Having a clot like that is not very common at all,” she was quoted as saying. “It’s pretty rare to have an actual heart attack at age 25.”

Despite being legally blind, Stephen McMahan’s son Justin is working as a sleep tech and his dad and fellow RT Mike Crabb explain how he uses his limited vision to excel in the job in this article in the Winston-Salem, NC, Journal.

Jennifer Livolsi was one of several people in her community who received a certificate of commendation from the city council for performing CPR on a man who was pulled unconscious from a local swimming pool, reports this article in the Washington, PA, Observer-Reporter. “We took turns, and whenever one of us got tired, the other took over until the ambulance showed up,” she was quoted as saying. “My adrenaline was pumping.”
