Brenda Basnight talks about the profession in this article on the NBC-TV website out of Montgomery, AL. Written in honor of RC Week, the article quotes Brenda as saying, “We are the first ones they call when things go wrong.”

Kim Hehman offers her perspective on e-cigarettes in this article in the Columbus, OH, Dispatch, noting she hasn’t met a smoker yet who was able to successfully quit smoking using one of the devices.
AnnMarie DeMerchant writes about COPD in this article in the Norwich, CT, Bulletin, with an emphasis on the need for people with the condition to quit smoking. “It’s best to quit early in life but even someone who quits later in life will improve their health,” noted the therapist.
Lisa Newcomer has just taken on a new position as service line director for cancer services at her hospital and the job is announced in this article in the Southeast Missourian. Lisa will continue to serve as service line director of pulmonary and sleep medicine as well.
