Andrew Miller, MSc, RRT, RRT-ACCS, RRT-NPS, FAARC.Two section editors have been added to the editorial team of RESPIRATORY CARE. Andrew Miller, MSc, RRT, RRT-ACCS, RRT-NPS, FAARC, was appointed a section editor in June and Denise Willis, MSc, RRT, RRT-NPS, AE-C, will begin in July. They join Jie Li, PhD, RRT, RRT-NPS, RRT-ACCS, FAARC, who became a section editor in February. Miller and Willis both have expertise in pediatric respiratory care and will provide that expertise when considering this subject matter in papers submitted to the Journal. Additionally, they will work to increase the presence of the Journal on social media platforms. Perhaps most important, they expand the circle of editorial staff with expertise in the internal workings of the Journal.
Denise Willis, MSc, RRT, RRT-NPS, AE-C.RESPIRATORY CARE is the official science journal for the AARC. It is published monthly, and is listed in PubMed and included in the Web of Science. Its contents are searchable via PubMed, Google Scholar, and other search engines. RESPIRATORY CARE deals with the subject area of the same name, and thus publishes articles pertaining to disorders affecting the cardiorespiratory system, including their pathogenesis, pathophysiology, manifestations, diagnostic assessment, monitoring, prevention, and management. Because the practice of respiratory care prominently involves equipment and devices, the development, evaluation, and use of these things feature prominently in what the Journal publishes. However, as indicated by the word “care” in its name, the Journal also emphasizes the patient, and on improving all aspects of the care of individuals affected by respiratory disease.
