AARC President Challenges Members to Grow the Profession

As part of Big Ideas Theater 2018, AARC President Karen Schell, DHSc, RRT, RRT-NPS, RRT-SDS, RPFT, RPSGT, AE-C, CTTS, discusses the Sunflower Movement and how she hopes members can work together to grow and nurture the profession.

“You know, when a sunflower is blooming and it’s out in the sun it follows the sunlight,” Schell said. “So, can you imagine a bunch of respiratory therapists working together, following the sunlight to achieve a goal?”

This is Schell’s hope for not only the AARC but the entire respiratory care profession.

Big Ideas Theater 2018 was filmed at the AARC Congress 2018 in Las Vegas, NV. Congress speakers and lecturers shared their expertise and insights during these brief interviews.
