In our second NBRC video, Lori Tinkler, MBA, goes over the credentials offered by the NBRC and why respiratory therapists should pursue them.

“Earning an NBRC credential is a true testament to the skills and strengths required for excellence in the profession,” said Tinkler, who is CEO of the NBRC.

She goes on to cover all the areas of the profession for which the NBRC offers credentials and how the exams for these credentials were developed. She also notes the CRT or RRT credential is the standard for licensure in 49 of the 50 U.S. states.

“While an exam can be a challenge for some, there is much to gain from the study process,” Tinkler said. “Earning and maintaining credentials opens doors for career advancement, instills pride and satisfaction in your work, and shows your commitment to continued excellence and growth in the respiratory profession.”
