AARC Student Member Megan Leahy took part in a health careers demonstration for high school students organized by her school, Hawkeye Community College. Susan R. Aufdenkampe, BSRC, RRT, director of respiratory therapy at Camden Clark Medical Center, explained in a recent article how pulmonary problems may arise as a result of the recent Intercontinental Export-Import Plastics (IEI) industrial fire event. Carrie Westlake, BS, RRT, systems manager for respiratory therapy at Cayuga Medical Center, takes part in leading the Harmonicas for Health program in Ithaca, NY. Maureen O’Donnell, RRT, lead respiratory therapist at the Mayo Clinic Health System in EAU CLAIRE, WI, is bringing her art hobby to her patients. When her lab was moved to the second floor of the hospital, the new room included a window. O’Donnell creates stained glass art as a hobby and decided to bring an inspiring piece to her lab. Dawn Robinson, MBA, RRT, director of respiratory care services at Covenant Health in Lubbock, TX was featured in KAMC’s Heartbeat for a Healthy Life series.
