Good Press spotlights AARC members mentioned in the news media at a local and national level. Here is the latest list of news makers.

Ed Goodwin shares some great information on a new bachelor’s degree for respiratory care coming to his community in 2017 in this article in the Anniston, AL, Star. “The hope is, [the] bachelors will help train these students more toward leadership roles,” he was quoted as saying.

Jamie Sahli writes about the role of the respiratory therapist in the nation’s health care system in this article in Prime Time News out of Colorado. The article was published in honor of National Healthy Lung Month.

Ed Hollenbaugh is part of a group of men in his community who build ramps for the disabled and their efforts were covered in this article in The Kittanning Paper out of Kittanning, PA. “You feel good that you’re helping somebody out,” he was quoted as saying.

Cathy Kempe was noted as the guest speaker for an upcoming meeting of a Better Breathers Support Group in this article in the Providence, RI, Journal. Cathy was planning to cover medications used for the treatment of asthma and COPD.

Sindee Karpel, Jean Newberry, Jeffrey Elsberry, and Jeff Davis receive kudos for their RT program’s recent receipt of CoARC’s Distinguished RRT Credentialing Success award in this article in the Lehigh Acres Citizen out of Ft. Myers, FL.

Jodi McEdward explains how quitting smoking can begin to boost health within minutes of kicking the habit in this article in the San Diego, CA, Union-Tribune. “It’s a powerful gift to give yourself,” she was quoted as saying.
