The AARC announced that Claire Wineland, activist, inspirational YouTube personality, speaker and founder of Claire’s Place Foundation, Inc., will be the keynote speaker at AARC Congress, the 63rd International Respiratory Convention and Exhibition, to be held October 4–7 in Indianapolis, IN. Through her “Living While Dying” theme, Wineland will share her insight from growing up with cystic fibrosis.

“We are excited to have Claire Wineland join us for this year’s AARC Congress,” said Thomas Kallstrom, AARC executive director. “Her vibrant personality and keen perspective on living life is truly uplifting. Through her story and spirit, we hope that Congress attendees will find motivational takeaways to share with the patients they care for each day.”

Registration is currently open for Congress, which brings together close to 7,000 attendees of the respiratory care field from around the world. Wineland will help kick off Congress with her keynote address on Wednesday, October 4.

From speaking engagements to her YouTube channel and non-profit organization, Claire’s Place Foundation, Inc., Wineland dedicates herself to changing the conversation around individuals living with illnesses. She helps others learn to make something of their experience that is inspiring to themselves and others.

According to Wineland, “everything that I talk about has come from my personal struggles with finding a balance between taking care of myself versus living for something bigger and more meaningful than just my own life and self-care.”

Claire’s Place Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing support to children and families affected by cystic fibrosis. Wineland has shared her message at leading events across the globe, top universities, and companies.
