Dear Colleagues,

I contacted the American Heart Association today for a status update regarding the “Interim Guideline on Basic and Advance Life Support in Adults, Children, and Neonates with Suspected or Confirmed COVID-19.” It is our understanding that the AHA has sent the updated document to peer review for publishing in their journal, CIRCULATION. As soon as we learn of the document’s publishing, we will share the news with you.

AARC’s representatives brought your concerns forward to the AHA and we believe they will be addressed in the final document. We appreciate your feedback and hearing from you regarding this topic.

Thank you for your patience and perseverance during these difficult times.

Respectfully,

Sheri Tooley, BSRT, RRT-NPS, CPFT, AE-C, FAARC
AARC President & CEO
