Ellen Worsham joined the AARC team on Tuesday, March 1, as the new Vice President of Marketing and Communications. She comes to the AARC with nearly 30 years of marketing and communications experience, in both for-profit and non-profit sectors. She most recently worked with the American Heart Association (AHA) and RQI Partners, an AHA and Laerdal Medical partnership.

“It’s an honor to join the talented and dedicated AARC team,” said Worsham. “I’m excited to work together to serve and advocate for the AARC membership and to advance the mission of excellence in patient care.”

At the American Heart Association, Worsham served in the role of Director of Healthcare Marketing and Innovation for Emergency Cardiovascular Care Programs, leading the marketing efforts for the healthcare segment. She was also responsible for the marketing development and commercialization of AHA’s 2015 and 2020 Guidelines programs, representing the digital portfolio of BLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP disciplines – all of which have a significant impact on the respiratory therapist.

Worsham graduated from the University of Illinois College of Medicine with an allied health degree in Biocommunications and is a long-time resident of the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

“Ellen makes a great addition to our team,” said AARC Interim Executive Director Sam Giordano, MBA, RRT, FAARC. “Her activities will not only enhance our current marketing efforts but expand our reach to include marketing respiratory therapists to employers outside of traditional acute care settings.”
