Dear AARC Member,
By now you may have heard about my appointment as the Interim Executive Director of the AARC. It is indeed an honor to serve an organization and industry that truly make up the unsung heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a non-Respiratory Therapist, I am in awe of the huge role RTs play in selflessly caring for and managing patients in our hospitals and outpatient facilities.
It is my sincere commitment to humbly serve the membership of the AARC with honor and distinction in the way that all of you do in your daily duties as RTs. Although I am not part of your profession, I bring over 35 years of business leadership to the organization that I hope will complement the respiratory care expertise present on the AARC executive team and the Board of Directors.
As I complete my onboarding process, rest assured that the entire leadership team, including Anne Marie Hummel, Doug Laher and Shawna Strickland along with Sheri Tooley and the rest of your Board of Directors, are well intact and are working hard every day to serve you the member. Together, we will identify opportunities to enhance and improve the value of your membership.
