RESPIRATORY CARE will go all-digital starting January 2023. We decided to make this change based on the high quality of the online publication, the increasing cost of printing and postage, and the decreasing number of print subscribers.

However, it is essential to recognize that the Journal is not going away. The online Journal will be unchanged. Moreover, reading Respiratory Care online has several benefits not available in the print Journal. You can read papers on any device with an internet connection, in HTML or PDF. In addition to the entire article, you can download tables and figures and easily search through site content. Not only can the current issue be read, but every issue back to 2003 is readily available.

Several short videos are available on the Journal’s YouTube channel that describe the valuable features of using the online Journal. Or, better yet, see for yourself at www.rcjournal.com.

What does this mean to your membership package?

All AARC memberships include access to our digital publication RESPIRATORY CARE, which won’t change. Some members pay an additional fee to receive a print version of this monthly publication. Effective with the January 2023 issue, RESPIRATORY CARE will only be available in a digital format. Review our FAQ for additional information. If you still have questions, email us at info@aarc.org.
