Elections Committee Questions:

Within your role, and if given the opportunity, how would you incorporate and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion to uphold, update, and uplift the AARC as an organization, all AARC affiliates, and all AARC members?

I would look to start within my own work unit to outline the benefits of AARC membership and encourage acquiring membership. I would also look to increase social media presence and support of the AARC. Additionally, I would work within my state society to encourage involvement at the AARC level not just the state.

What ideas would you present to increase AARC membership?

Provide factual details to those who may be unaware of the workings of the AARC and the member benefits. Outlining facts along with personal involvement leads to buy-in from others.

Role-Specific Questions:

Value of section membership is important. If given the opportunity to represent, what would be some steps you would take to continue to increase the value of section membership and gain further engagement of section members?

I think bringing to light the things we transport RTs accomplish helps to showcase the possibilities. As for further engagement of sections members, I would look to increase a presence on the AARConnect platform for not only questions and answers regarding processes, but also scenario sharing for “what would you do?”
